Production Services Lead

Job Description:

Responsible for running the day to day operations of the technology platform. Activities specific to the role include Problem/Incident Management, Release/Deployment, Operational Readiness, Capacity/Availability Management, Application Monitoring, Service Analytics and Reporting, Production Governance, Triage, Associate Support, Change/Configuration Management, etc.

  • The Production Services Lead identifies possible production failure scenarios, creates incident tickets, enhancements and/or problem tickets in ticket tracking system, and communicates effectively with development and internal business operations teams. Identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, as well as maintain metrics to help develop analysis that will drive improvement in all areas of Production Services.
  • Participates in enhancing administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting best practice guidelines, standards and procedures. Takes ownership of escalations and perform troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills.
  • Performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in planning, installing, designing and supporting new and existing equipment and software under minimal supervision. Resolves complex issues. Consults with end users to determine optimal configuration of equipment and applications. Works on problems of moderate to complex scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Should have increased awareness and exposure to basic technical principles, concepts and techniques.
  • Will mentor other employees. Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of a technology environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area.
  • Serves as an escalation point between the client/business area and internal management for the resolution of moderately complex unresolved problems, complaints and service requests.
  • Provides service alternatives that improve the production services environment.

This person will be responsible for a portfolio of applications within the Investment Banking and Solutions Technology Global Wealth Investment Management Equity area. Person in the role will research and troubleshoot single user inquiries, identify potential system issues (Incidents), lead mitigation efforts for incidents, drive root cause and long term remediation efforts (Problems), and proactively identify and propose remediation to stability risks (including monitoring gaps within the application). Technologies supported include Linux/Unix,. NET, Oracle, JAVA, Micro Services, and MVC.


Experience troubleshooting and restore application services in Large Oracle Programming Centric applications hosted on Linux/Unix,. NET 4. 5 and above, JAVA, Micro Services and MVC based applications
Hands-On attending to service request from customers involving Database queries and DML, Oracle Utilities, Unix and Perl scripting, Job Scheduling, Escalated Requests and Remediation Strategies.
Significant experience driving incidents to completion and follow-ups to problem tickets proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ability to write and maintain system documentation.


Application debugging experinece including analysis of logs created by Oracle and Unix and application dumps (. NET or JAVA Heap)
Previous experience in a large financial environment utilizing Oracle Database Programming, Perl scripting, Message Queues and Micro Services.
SAP Business Objects API s (3. x and 4. x), Crystal Reports

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
