Seeking individual with extensive knowledge of common or possible failures of soldered and bonded wafers in semiconductor devices and laser packages.
Utilize your experience with performing critical failure analysis of III-V semiconductor diodes and join a global manufacturer of semiconductor devices to aid in growth activities by providing key failure analysis and preventative action experience.
Evaluate failures of materials, bonds, or solder beads and determine possible causes. Work with independent contractors out of labs and request tests utilizing high-precision electron microscopes, X-Ray scanners, or optical microscopes. Analyze gathered data and determine if hypothesized causes of failure were correct.
Report results to executives and engineers, provide recommendations for correcting failures and preventing them in future manufacturing operations.
Must have extensive experience with chemical vapor deposition; photolithography; semiconductor packaging processes including flip-chip, wire, and die bonding; and eutectic solder material.
