Our client, one of the top boarding and day schools in NJ.
A private and independent school is seeking an Apple Systems Specialist to join their team! Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50,000 - $60,000 for a top candidate Position Overview:
Will be reporting to the Director of IT, the Apple System Specialist is responsible for installing and maintaining all Apple and related system hardware and software.
The Apple System Specialist will troubleshoot all Apple and related system issues and implement technical solutions in response to Help Desk requests and as issues arise.
The person in this position develops and records security measures and standards for Apple system software and hardware.
They also monitor applicable systems daily to ensure optimal performance.
The chosen candidate will train students, faculty, and staff to ensure all systems are used effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities of the Apple Systems Specialist:
Implement and direct all aspects of the Apple Self-Servicing program, including the physical space, repair management, and staff training programs Earn and maintain the ACMT certification as required for the SSA program Configure and manage the school's fleet of Apple Devices via the JAMF MDM service Assist with the management of student and faculty iPads, laptops and desktops, including resolving issues, issuing loaners, and managing inventory Assist with designing and documenting all security measures and standards for computer software and hardware to ensure optimal working of all systems Maintain subject-matter expertise in all Apple applications for systems and maintain knowledge on all new and upcoming technologies Assist with AV setups for School events Complete routine maintenance checklists on School-owned equipment, including networked printers, UPS batteries, lab computers, and laptop carts Assist with research and planning for new equipment purchases Assist with technology projects and implementations as assigned by the Director of IT Assist with summer technology training sessions Other duties as needed/assigned by the Director of IT Qualifications for the Apple Systems Specialist:
Exposure to wired and wireless networking technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills Willingness to learn new things Strong experience troubleshooting with iOS, MacOS, Windows, and copiers/printers Experience with Google Apps and Microsoft Office Google Workspace Administration experience Experience with MDM (Jamf, AirWatch) Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently and as part of a team Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively Integrity, honesty, flexibility, and resourcefulness Strong work ethic and a commitment to professional development Commitment to the mission, core values, and goals of the school Education Requirements:
Technical degree or certification and/or two or more years of related experience is required Bachelor's degree is preferred
